Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using stunl ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Acceptable Use Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use stunl. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. Service Description

stunl is a localhost tunneling service that allows you to expose local network services to the internet. The Service includes HTTP, TCP, UDP, and WebSocket tunnels, end-to-end encrypted tunnels, file sharing, terminal sharing, MCP server hosting, and related developer tools. The Service is provided via a command-line interface (CLI) and a web portal.

4. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You must verify your email before you can log in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@stunl.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

You may not create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits. We may merge or terminate duplicate accounts.

5. Pricing and Payment

stunl offers the following plans:

• Free - no cost, limited features (1 tunnel, 2 GB/month, HTTP and WebSocket only)
• Pro - $10/month or $96/year (5 tunnels, 50 GB/month, all protocols, file and terminal sharing)
• Team - $25/month or $240/year (15 tunnels, unlimited bandwidth, team management up to 10 members)
• Business - $59/month or $588/year (unlimited tunnels and bandwidth, custom domains, up to 100 team members)

Additional bandwidth can be purchased: 1 GB for $1.00 or 5 GB for $3.00.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

We offer a 3-day free trial of the Pro plan. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid Pro plan at $10/month.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice by email. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.

Applicable taxes (including Chicago's Personal Property Lease Transaction Tax) will be calculated and added at checkout where required by law.

6. Acceptable Use

Your use of stunl is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference. Violations of the AUP may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

7. Tunnel Traffic

You are solely responsible for all content and traffic that passes through your tunnels. stunl acts as a conduit and does not monitor, filter, or modify tunnel traffic in the ordinary course of operations. However, we reserve the right to terminate tunnels that are reported for abuse or that violate our Acceptable Use Policy.

Tunnels are not intended as a permanent hosting solution. We may close idle or long-running tunnels according to your plan's session limits.

8. DMCA and Copyright

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. stunl qualifies as a service provider under Section 512 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

If you believe that content accessible through a stunl tunnel infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice to our designated DMCA agent:

Your notice must include: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material and its location, your contact information, a statement of good faith belief, a statement under penalty of perjury, and your signature.

Repeat infringer policy: We will terminate accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. Users who receive multiple valid DMCA takedown notices will have their accounts permanently suspended.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned maintenance.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, stunl and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless stunl, its operator, and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Content or traffic transmitted through your tunnels
• Your violation of these terms or any applicable law
• Your violation of any third party's rights

13. Intellectual Property

The stunl name, logo, CLI tool, website, and portal are the property of stunl. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our software except as explicitly permitted (e.g., using the CLI tool as intended).

You retain all rights to your own content and code that passes through stunl tunnels. We claim no ownership over your data.

15. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the portal or by emailing support@stunl.com. We may terminate or suspend your account at our discretion if you violate these terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.

Upon termination: your right to use the Service ceases immediately, active tunnels are closed, and your account data will be deleted within 30 days. Billing records are retained as required by law.

16. Dispute Resolution

We prefer to resolve disputes informally. If you have a concern, please email legal@stunl.com and we will attempt to resolve it within 30 days.

If informal resolution fails, any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois. Both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

17. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

18. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

19. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
